    Brightest Of Blessings !!

    I just joined Covenspace and wanted to say Merry Meet!   I'm a Witch who has been on her path for over 27 years.  I'm currently living in Long Beach, California and love it! (originally from Virginia Beach,Virginia). I'm the "Resident Witch"at  Procurer Of The Obscure Metaphysical Shop ( www.poto.com ). Fly by and browse around our online site. I look forward to sharing and learning from all of you.

    Below i've posted a poem that i wrote years ago, i hope you'll enjoy it.

    Nocturnal Blessings,

    BORN INTO MAGIC 



    Swirling, tossing and turning are the clouds of the night skies.  
    Heralding the birth of one born into magic.   
    Air, Earth, Water, Fire
    announce her in their own way
    Giving power to her spirit and knowledge to her soul.

    The Guardian of Air
    announces her coming forth
    on the winds of tornadoes
    ripping across the world.

    The Guardian of Earth
    heralds her coming
    by the force of an earthquake
    Uprooting all things old
    To make room for new life.

    The Guardian of Water
    Sends forth waves onto the land.
    To destroy that which is unclean
    to purify and cleanse that
    which will bring forth life.

    The Guardian of Fire
    Sends lightning from above
    Illuminating the night skies
    with an amber glow
    warming the atmosphere.

    Chanting and moans
    are carried across the winds
    Until suddenly there is stillness
    From the skies, she descends...

    Hair as black as night
    Flowing down her back.
    Skin golden brown
    Eyes the color of onyx
    More beautiful than any fairy

    As her feet touch the earth
    The grounds  begins to dry
    Waters start to subside
    Plants spring forth from the ground

    Her presence is that of a goddess...

    The skies clear
    Giving way to a magnificent sight
    Stars shown brighter than ever before
    The moon is full
    And sends forth her lunar powers.

    Casting a circle where she stands
    The goddess stretches forth her arms
    towards the skies
    Preparing to call the corners
    And give thanks for her
    birth, power, and knowledge.

    The knowledge of a true witch
    being born into the realm of magic.

    Greetings Veilwalker.... Welcome to Covenspace, where there are many friendly people of like minds. I read your poem and it touched me as I envisioned every word you wrote, very beautiful. One day I would love to own and operate a metaphysical shop. How long have you owned it and how did you get it up and running? Well anyhow, grab a cup of coffee or herbal tea, have a seat and enjoy your stay!

    Thank you for the wonderful comment. I was a nurse for 22 years. I finally retired this year. I am co-owner of Procurer Of The Obscure ( we just call it PoTo for short).Poto was started by my fiance,whose name is Peter. I was a customer of his for many years, this particular shop carries those hard to find books and herbs,actual artifacts from all over the world can be found here. It feels like more of a museum than a shop.

    Poto has been around for 19 years.It started as an internet business.

    One day during a converation we were having I mentioned to Peter that i now wanted to do something in the craft to help others.The craft has always been my life. I am Witch but i think i consider myself an "Occultist" more than anything else because i am drawn to other areas of the occult as well. Peter asked me if i would like to be the "resident Witch" of Poto which was surprising to me because in all the years that Poto had been around, there was never been a Witch working there because frankly he hadn't found anyone that he could trust to be there. So i was honored, i thought about it and realized that this was my dream come true. I accepted and was in Long Beach within 2 weeks. I have not regretted it!



    Within the shop i teach Folk Magick & Witchcraft. Peter deals with the Darker Arts. He has studied Vodou,Santeria, Palo, etc. He is a Ceremonial Magician,and also an exorcist. It can get quite heavy at times because he's a historian and is very passionate about what he does.



    He also welcomes questions from people who are trying to start their own business and is more than willing to give advice on how to start your own business. Feel free to call the shop and speak with him about it.
